The forum has scheduled a members' meeting at the Facility of Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB) at Michigan State University on Wednesday, November 15, 2010.  The meeting will start at 10 AM and conclude about 3 PM.  Additional information and agenda will be posted prior to the meeting.  Members can attend in person or via WEBEX link.

 

 

Spallation Neutron Source (SNS) Meeting, March 18, 2010

 

Ed Bonnema of Meyer Tool examines a cryomoduleThe SPAFOA held its first membership meeting for 2010 at the SNS at Oak Ridge National Laboratory on March 18. The meeting was hosted by Stuart Henderson, Director, and held on site. Briefings shown in the attached agenda were provided by Stuart, John Galambos, John Mammosser, and Barbara Thibadeau.  Each briefing is linked to this agenda and can be viewed and downloaded.  Members participated by attending the meeting on site or via WEBEX link.  Those attending on site were provided with a detailed tour of the SNS facility, the SNS was in operational mode during this tour.  on behalf of the forum, I wish to thank Stuart and his staff for hosting this informative session,

The SPAFOA held its third annual Capitol Hill briefing on July 30, 2009. The message of the briefings were the importance of industrialization in the early stages of superconducting radio frequency (SCRF) technology development within DOE Office of Science programs and the potential of how these efforts benefit industrial growth in other applications of then technology.
